Detailed History and Background
Back in April 1, 1986, OFM was known as Radio Oranje. That’s when it first greeted South Africa with its broadcasting charm. But over the years, like a chameleon, it kept up with changing radio landscapes and its audience’s interests. A huge turn point?
Breaking out from Highveld Stereo they decided to go solo and pay more attention to listeners in Free State, North West, Northern Cape, and southern Gauteng. As a result, they managed to sculpt their very own identity being big on local culture and community vibe.
Mission, Vision, and Values
OFM simply wants to be listeners’ prime source of quality entertainment and useful info that adds sparks to their lives on the daily basis. It’s all about blending music, news updates or interactive content that just clicks with local sentiments.
OFM envisions itself holding the crown as leading radio station in Central South Africa – winning hearts through innovative content, getting involved in community stories and never compromising on broadcasting excellence. Be it adapting new broadcast tech or staying updated with popular trends; they’re up for everything exciting!
